1. Overview & Giveaway period

The Krate Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is offered by The Katana Services (Cayman) Ltd. (the "Foundation" or "Sponsor"). These Terms & Official Rules (the "Rules") govern the Giveaway and are in addition to, and incorporate, the Foundation’s Terms of Use. A Krate is a visual wrapper over a randomized prize; every Krate returns at least a minimum reward. Each Krate is awarded free of charge. By participating, you agree to these Rules.

The Giveaway begins on the Effective Date shown above and continues on a rolling basis until the Sponsor modifies, suspends, or ends it in accordance with these Rules. The number of Krates available in any period is limited by the Sponsor’s prize budget.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) at the time of entry.
• You must not be a resident, national, or agent of the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, or Syria, or of any other country to which the United States, the United Kingdom, or the European Union embargoes goods or imposes similar sanctions (collectively, "Restricted Territories").
• You must not be a member of any sanctions list or equivalent maintained by the United States government, the United Kingdom government, the European Union, or the United Nations (collectively, "Sanctions Lists Persons").
• You must not use a VPN or any other privacy or anonymization tool to circumvent, or attempt to circumvent, any restriction that applies to the Giveaway.
• Employees, contractors, and affiliates of the Sponsor, and their immediate families and households, are not eligible.
• You must control a self-custodied blockchain wallet able to receive a Krate and its contents. Multi-signature or smart-contract wallets may not be eligible for certain Krate Giveaway Items.
• The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. How to obtain a Krate

There are two ways to obtain a Krate. All are free. No purchase, payment, deposit, fee, or token transfer is required by any route, and Krates obtained by any route are drawn from the same prize pool at the same published odds.

• XP redemption — redeem Experience Points ("XP") earned through the Katana Quests program. XP is earned at no cost, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash, and has no cash or monetary value.
• Free Alternative Means of Entry (AMOE) — a no-XP, no-purchase route that yields one full Krate at the same odds (see Section 4).

4. Alternative Means of Entry (AMOE)

To obtain a Krate without earning or redeeming XP and without any purchase or payment:

• Hand-print on a plain 3" x 5" card your full name, email address, country of residence, date of birth, and a self-custodied blockchain wallet address able to receive the Krate and its contents.
• Mail the card in a stamped, hand-addressed envelope to the address below.

• Each valid card entitles you to one (1) full Krate — not a fraction or a consolation item. Limit one (1) AMOE Krate request per person per calendar week.
• Each AMOE Krate is drawn from the same prize pool and at the same published odds as a Krate obtained by redeeming XP. Receipt of any particular item is not guaranteed.
• No purchase, payment, deposit, token holding, or other activity is required; your only cost is postage.

Cards that are mechanically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, duplicated, or that omit a valid wallet address are void. One person may not enter via multiple identities. The Sponsor will deliver the corresponding Krate to the wallet provided within thirty (30) days of processing.

5. Krate contents, odds & prizes

Each Krate contains, on a randomized basis, one or more Krate Giveaway Items — avKAT, and/or XP, and/or USDC. NFTs are not offered at this time. Every Krate returns at least a minimum reward.

The odds of receiving each reward, and the prizes available, are published and displayed in the Interface before you open a Krate, and are incorporated into these Rules by reference.

Odds and prizes may differ from one period ("epoch") to another. The Sponsor may update the odds and prizes; any change applies prospectively only, and each Krate is governed by the odds displayed at the time it is obtained. The Sponsor maintains a record of the odds applicable to each period.

Within any given period, Krates obtained by every route — registration, XP redemption, and the AMOE — are drawn from the same prize pool at the same odds.

XP awarded as a reward has no cash or monetary value. KAT Token Krate Items may be subject to a lockup period of up to nine (9) months following receipt.

6. How prizes are determined

Krate Giveaway Items are determined by a verifiably random method selected by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The Sponsor maintains internal audit logging of draws, and the live draw corresponds to the published odds.

7. Claiming, verification & publicity

Krate Giveaway Items are credited to you when you open the Krate. The Sponsor may require verification of identity, age, eligibility, and wallet control before delivering higher-value Krate Giveaway Items, and may withhold or revoke items obtained in breach of these Rules. By accepting a Krate Giveaway Item, you consent to the Sponsor’s use of your wallet address and region as necessary to administer the Giveaway and comply with law; the Sponsor will not publish your personal identity without your consent.

8. Taxes

Recipients are solely responsible for all taxes arising from Krate Giveaway Items received. The Sponsor will issue tax forms and withhold where required by applicable law.

9. Void where prohibited; registration

The Giveaway is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Where the value of Krate Giveaway Items triggers applicable prize-promotion registration or bonding requirements, the Sponsor will register and bond as required before offering the affected prizes.

10. Privacy

Personal information you provide (including through the AMOE) is handled in accordance with the Foundation’s Privacy Policy. The Sponsor collects only what is needed to administer the Giveaway and deliver prizes.

11. Disclaimers & no guarantee of value

The Sponsor makes no promise or guarantee regarding the nature, value, or contents of any Krate or Krate Giveaway Item. The Giveaway and all items are provided "as is" and "as available," subject to the disclaimers and limitations of liability in the Foundation’s Terms of Use.

12. General & contact

These Rules are governed by, and incorporate, the Foundation’s Terms of Use, including its governing-law, dispute-resolution, and limitation-of-liability provisions. The Sponsor may modify, suspend, or terminate the Giveaway as permitted by applicable law and these Rules. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
