2. no-transfer period

   any KAT token rewards will be non-transferrable for a period of up to 9 months. during this time, KAT cannot be transferred. the no-transfer period helps build a strong, mission-aligned launch for the network

3. lock KAT and vote

   after the no-transfer period, you can lock your KAT to vote on how KAT emissions are distributed to liquidity pools. locked KAT allows you to shape the future of katana’s economy

4. bridge, earn, and grow with yearn

   before mainnet, all deposits are made directly to yearn vaults on ethereum. yield generated during this phase is directed to the katana foundation’s treasury and will be used to incentivize defi activity when mainnet launches. after mainnet launch, deposits will be accessible via yearn vaults on katana, where you’ll start earning yield directly. after mainnet, you can leave deposits to grow or withdraw them anytime

prizes are distributed based on probability. participation will result in receipt of a free krate; each krate contains a prize. participation does not guarantee receipt of any specific reward
